Mandatory internship for students

The Leibniz Institute for the History and Culture of Eastern Europe (GWZO) in Leipzig offers mandatory internships (minimum 4 weeks) in the area of science communication for students of humanities disciplines.

The GWZO has been awarding scholarships to doctoral candidates, post-docs and senior researchers since 2021. Applications are due by 30 April of each year.

With the special scholarship »Ukraine« we aim to support refugee scientists from Ukraine, Belarus and Russia.

The GWZO's visting scholars programme enables the institute to invite academics to Leipzig for short stays, prioritising applicants from Eastern European countries.
